London Sustainable Shopping
I love London so much, it's so varied and has such different vibes dependant on where you head. I live just outside of central London and love being a tourist in my own city. Ever since I was young one of my favourite weekend activities would be going up to London with my Mum. On Saturday, me, Garlok and Ralph headed into East London, where we don't often go but is fast becoming my favourite area of London. There are so many boutique shops and independent markets to explore, its a sustainable/conscious buyers dream. Below I have listed 4 places to check out for amazing quality sustainable garms. Plus one amazing store in Seven Dials if you're more in central London, read on for details...
The Henri Store
Based in South Hackney is this tiny little store named Henri London. They also have an online shop and I discovered them via their instagram. They stock their own brand plus other independent brands like my fav Ren London. Head there for minimal shirts that will last in your wardrobe for seasons to come.
I was so excited to head to this little store just off of Shoreditch highstreet. I recently purchased the _____ via their online store and not long after they opened this adorable space. They're only there till September so you better head there sooner rather than later - a bonus all the furniture is also for sale which I think is such a great idea for a pop up shop!
Not only does this store sell independent garments, they have a homeware section which is so dreamy and you can sit in and have a coffee. A one stop shop of perfection if you ask me.
Based in the hussle and bussle of Hackney near London Fields, you can find 69b down a little street filled with lots of independent shops, plus a food market down the middle on the weekends! Inside again you can find all your favourite sustainable brands - note to self buy a pair of veja trainers they are so gorg! Plus theres a downstairs too with some full length mirrors for a quick little selfie when no ones looking!
The Basics Store
If you're not in Hackney/Shoreditch area or don't have time to head over that way when visiting London, you should definitely check out The Basics Store in Seven Dials. This place is right near my work and it takes most of my will power not to go in every day to look at the beautiful clothes and homewear in this store!
I hope this little guide helps for anyone heading to London over the summer and is looking for some sustainable shops to head to or is fellow Londoner like me and needs some new sustainable garms!
