Following on from my recent style struggle post I wanted to start a series where I discuss an item of clothing (like knitwear) and what pieces I feel are the basics which every wardrobe should have and some sustainable options for you to build your own great sustainable wardrobe. As well as some more trend or personal style items to add in for the season.
As you can guess from the title I’ll be starting with knitwear! As the days get shorter and the temperatures drop all I want to through on is a good piece of knitwear and have some really good quality layering pieces to hand too!
The Knitwear Basics
For I feel every wardrobe should have these items in as they are great on their own or layered, making them super versatile. Everlane is the best for these kind of basic everyday pieces, and I’ll definitely be heading to them for any new basics I need! Another great, UK based, option for basic’s is Ninety Percent.
Personal Style Pieces
For me I love these items below and already have similar. Not only do they feel ‘me’, they make my wardrobe fun and if I’m going to be wearing them through a grueling 6 months of cold winter days then I’m going to need to love them a lot and not get bored of them!
What are you favourite knitwear pieces in your wardrobe?
