Outfits from New York

As we were only in New York for a few days and did a lot of sight seeing I thought I would combine all the outfits we took photos of into one big post.

First up is probably my favourite outfit of the whole trip. I recently bought this dress from the brand Organic by John Patrick and have been dying to share it with you all. Organics is a brand which launched in 2004 and was created on the basis that fashion should be both beautiful and ethical. When I discovered this brand I instantly fell in love with their timeless pieces from roll necks to blazers, they have everything a girl needs in her wardrobe. I had been on the hunt for a slip dress for so long, as I see them so much on Instagram and they are such a versatile piece to have in your wardrobe as they can be styled for all season. When I stumbled across this camel slip dress it was love at first sight and I just knew I had to have it. I wore it on my 21st birthday meal with my boyfriend on it's one with a black overcoat and heels - probably the most classy I've ever looked! Here I have styled for a more day appropriate look. As I mentioned in my vlog it was very muggy and mild in New York so a jacket wasn't needed, instead I layered it over a white and added my trusty slides and mini bag. As I said at the beginning, this is hands down my favourite look as it completes that effortless yet cool look that I always strive to achieve.

Moving on to my next look which was my evening look for Saturday when we headed to Broadway to see Chicago. We had just spent the whole day walking what felt like the whole of Manhattan so I was not in the mood for wearing heels, plus we had to literally run to get to the show on time so heels would have been a bad move. Instead I went with my trusty tan slides that I practically lived in over the summer, with the jumpsuit that I had bought that day from Reformation. I got some many compliments wearing this jumpsuit, I love how it looks so much and it is such an easy piece which will definitely be coming with me on many holidays to come.

For my final outfit, this is what I would have worn if we had gone out for a proper dinner on our last night in New York. Instead I got all dressed up and ready to go before we decided we were too tired to head down to Soho and instead got changed into leggings and trainers and wondered around the area we were staying in. But still I loved how this outfit looked so much I thought I'd share it with you anyway. I really love the girly camisole and mini skirt with the oversized blazer for that perfect contrast between girly and masculine. The blazer was another buy from Saturdays shopping trip and probably my favourite purchase of our whole trip(including food). I finished off the look with my sock boots and one large earring that I had also bought the day before - I am seriously loving the one earring trend at the moment and want to try and collect some really cool vintage earrings.
