Hallelujah, England is having a heatwave! Finally we are getting some well deserved sunshine here in England, however, for the most of us we are stuck in stuffy offices most of the day dreaming of lying outside with a mojito in one hand and a book/magazine in the other. So today I thought I'd share with you three outfit ideas for when you feel like it's too hot to wear anything.
For me anything the is light weight and floaty is 100% a winner for this kind of weather, whenever I wear tight fitting clothing I feel as though my body is being suffocated! Here I've chosen this super minimal and super beautiful shirt dress from &Other Stories, in a really nice chambray blue colour. The fact it's sleeveless is perfect and the the aline fit give's your body lots of room to breath. I am obsessed with tied sandals at the moment and have recently purchased these gorgeous pair from Mango in the sale. Blue and tan are such a good colour combination and great for switching it up from the usual black and white combination.
Culottes and a organic cotton t-shirt, you can't go wrong with this combination, a fail safe in my wardrobe. Again it's all about making sure my body has room to breath in this kind of heat, so loose culottes and an oversized tee are perfect, especially band tee's which are my new favourite thing to style at the moment , paired with trainers for an easy laid back look,or with these gorgeous sandals from Topshop for a more work appropiate look.
Finally, light weight shorts are an absolute hero for me, especially in this lovely neutral colour. Keeping the colour palette light to help stay as cool as possible, an oversized button down shirt is the perfect option. Then finishing off the look with these really nice Mango sandals. The neutral colour scheme of this look keeps the outfit looking cool and chic, which is what I definitely aim for in this kind of heat.
