DIY frayed hems

I have been absolutely obsessed with frayed denim this season. It's everywhere, and I want all of it. But unfortunately I don't have a bank balance that allows me to buy whatever I want so today I thought I'd share with you how I updated these old boyfriend jeans.

To recreate this frayed hem look all I did was decide what length I wanted the jeans to be, cut them as straight as I possibly could. Then using a hem picker (if that's even what it's called) I picked along the hem to create the frayed look. Easy as that!

For the first look, I wanted it to be super simple and easy to wear so I went for a plain black tee from Zara and my beloved Stan Smiths. You'll find me wearing this kind of outfit on lazy days where I'm just doing bits and bobs around the house and maybe running an errand or two.

Then I styled them with a tight black roll neck, black blazer and my black converse. I love how lighter denim looks with all black, plus if you're ever in doubt of wearing loose fitting jeans always opt for a more fitted top, it balances out the look perfectly.

I'd like to say I huge thank you to everyone that's come and visited my site in it's first week and that you've all enjoyed reading it!

I hope you all have a fab Friday and weekend - mine will be spent shooting more outfits to share with all you lovely people. IMG_0773 IMG_0774 IMG_0775 IMG_0777
